Entry 9 June 12The weather is getting hotter and I am actively melting away. The only thing that can keep me going now is watching my Tomodachi dumbasses run wild, so here we go again!!
For the today's news, Whatsapp Winnie (a relatively new resident and the personification of the Whatsapp app) has been trying to stretch a frying pan for the past 10 years to no avail. Well today she finally did it. She stretched a frying pan, solidifying her place as the strongest resident on Purgatory Island (probably).
Now here's your daily misfortunate Perry Platform event because I swear to god this guy is getting into so many upsetting situations that maybe HE is the one starting them. I thought being friends with Choir Boy would be a positive influence for him, but he was mid-fight with him by the time I started checking the apartments. They made up, but that's maybe like the 5th fight he's gotten into now.
That wasn't the only Platform related event, but to talk about this one I need to introduce you to another resident. She was teased back in entry #4, but literally has not done anything of note which honestly kind of fits her character. Her name is Invader Kim and she's pretty much just an early 2000s goth. Very dismissive and very much in her own lane, you probably already get the picture with her.
Anyway, to my surprise her apartment has a heart symbol meaning she was potentially interested in someone! And to my surprise again, she said that she thinks that PLATFORM is interested in her and wanted to know what I thought about that. I naturally told her to go for it and try to pursue this relationship, to which she then said this:
This is another one of those moments where the personality of a character I made is so spot on, that I start believing Tomodachi Life might actually have some sort of sentience.
Let's talk about a more successful relationship now, that being the relationship between Nicest Being and Mini Pilot. If you read the last entry you'll know that they're happily married now and live together! I had to check in on them and something that I didn't remember is that sometimes one person of the couple will want to go on a date with their significant other and let you choose the location. I told Mini Pilot to take Nicest Being to the park, but much to my dismay I couldn't actually see their date because there was already an event happening there that would override my ability to see the date. It truly was not fair. I still got a cute picture of them at home together though.
After this it was just daily chores for a bit, but something special happened when Violent Entity wanted food and I gave him hash browns. Turns out he HATES that shit!! He turned to stone and melted away from the disgust of it. That is the first worst ever food choice that I've discovered for any of the residents and honestly Violent deserves it!! Jackass is evil after what he did to Joy!!
Speaking of Joy, she had a heart marked on her apartment as well, meaning she's fallen in love again!! It's great to see that she bounced back and has caught feelings for someone new. I wonder who it is though, could it be Platform this time or-
HUUUUUHHHH??
I am just flabbergasted. She wants VIOLENT BACK..... Her relationship lasted for 5 days and then she got dumped by this freak and now she wants him back. It is actually insane for this to happen because drama aside, a broken up couple getting back together in Tomodachi Life is supposedly pretty rare. Fuck it though, I guess!! I can't get in the way of what she wants to do, no matter how worried I am about her heart getting broken again. I prepared for the worst, but Violent Entity did break up with her so it will be a quick rejection and Joy would dodge a bullet.
Except, that's not what happened. When she asked to be Violent's sweetheart once more, he said yes. They're actually back together. Honest to god, I cannot tell if this is a redemption arc for Violent and his relationship with Joy, or if he will TRULY solidify himself as the most vile and deceptive being on this island by breaking up with Joy again. Only time will tell, but holy shit.
Back into apartments, there was yet another heart there. This time it was from Chinny, but she's already in a relationship with The Bottle so that could only mean one thing. Chinny was ready to propose to her sweetheart!! I didn't think another proposal would happen so soon, but I like these two together so I was ready to make it happen.
Like with Mini Pilot's proposal in the last entry, I almost completely messed up this one as well, but I clutched it at the end. They had a beautiful date in a high rise fancy restaurant (with a wide selection of drinks for The Bottle to consume), surrounded by other couples on the island who were also having dinner there. Then, at the most opportune moment, Chinny asked the big question.
And yeah, come on, of course The Bottle would say yes!! The restaurant proceeded to clap and cheer for these two newly engaged lovebirds (myself included) and in typical Tomodachi Life fashion, skip right away into their wedding. A truly beautiful ceremony surrounded by their closest friends.
And you know what comes next after the marriage, it's the honeymoon! Chinny and The Bottle would pick a more common honeymoon destination than the previous newlyweds would, that place being Hawaii! They had a wonderful time enjoying the Hawaiian mountains, exotic flora and, of course, the beaches! All the while I took the most dogshit pictures of them, oops!
And that was all for today! There are now two happily married couples on the island, both of them getting married back to back no less! Chinny and The Bottle are genuinely two of my favourite characters, so I'm really glad that their relationship has been working out. It's crazy to me how many storylines are starting to span out, but I'm hoping for more interactions with residents that haven't gotten much time in the spotlight. We can only wait and see on that front though, I'm completely at the whims of this goofy ass game.
